I am AbdulFattah Popoola; an engineering leader with over 15 years of software development experience across multiple business domains and technical stacks. I have successfully worked on V1 enterprise SaaS products, scaled software to increased customer demand and sunsetted products at end of life while working across multiple teams: Azure Dev Ops, PowerBI, Dynamics 365 for Talent, Dynamics for Marketing and OneNote.
I am skilled at defining and improving observability, live site and engineering practices. Furthermore, I have successfully led remote international teams and have exhibited leadership in Volatile, Uncertain, Complex and Ambiguous (VUCA) environments.
My software odyssey, which started in 2006, spans several problems and multiple domains. I am very passionate about software development processes, engineering systems and web engineering.
I hold a Master’s degree in Computing and Information Science from the Masdar Institute and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering from the Obafemi Awolowo University.
I am deeply passionate about software development and spend a lot of my time on it (at and outside work). In addition, areas like engineering systems, software development processes, machine learning and network analysis pique my interest.
I also love learning and read a lot; my curiosity pushes me to keep searching for information.
I am passionate about education, health and social welfare; in my spare time I try to contribute to these domains using my skills.
I can converse in English, Arabic, Yoruba, Hausa, Pidgin English and understand very minimal French (I have forgotten nearly all I learnt).
I am Muslim and try my best to contribute to noble initiatives for human good.
